Can You Help With Funding?

Clubhouse Atist Impression

Moreton Croquet Club is crowdfunding to build a small clubhouse at the croquet lawns in Moreton, a new recreational resource for the whole of the North Cotswolds area.

Our crowdfunding project is now live at

At this stage it is essential that we get lots of pledges by ensuring that as many people as possible know about our crowdfunding and can see what a wonderful project it is. The initial aim is to gather lots of donations from lots of different people. This will draw others to our project, encouraging both more supporters and larger donations to come as our campaign progresses. So, if you’re thinking you can manage £10, give £5 now and another £5 later. If you’re thinking of donating £20 as a family, give £10 from each adult. The minimum donation on Spacehive is £2 and every little helps.

Log on to the website, view the wonderful video and then click on the big yellow ‘Back this project’ button to donate. Spacehive will ask you to sign up and create an account: don’t worry, it is an ethical and safe way to pledge towards such projects. They hold your donation until our target is reached and they will never bombard you with marketing from other projects. You can find instructions on signing up for Spacehive and pledging here: it’s simple and very quick.

After donating, there’s still one more very important way in which you can help to make the project successful: spread the word! Forward the details to as many people – friends and family – as you can, encouraging them both to donate and to keep passing on this message. The Croquet Club’s Spacehive page also has a ‘Share this project’ button just underneath the video: this is the easiest way to quickly share the page via Facebook, email, Twitter and all sorts of social media channels. You could even write the link on a piece of paper to give to those who don’t have email!

Other Fundraising Projects

Moreton in Marsh croquet club is now up and running with members signed up to play both for leisure and competition. However we are looking to raise funds towards facilities at the club site. The biggest expense to come is building a clubhouse as detailed above. We also have some high costs for improving the lawns to get them up to competition standard over the coming months and probably years.

Afternoon Tea served at Chastleton House

We have a planned budget in place for these costs and club members are already doing as much they can to raise money. This includes events such as Car Boot Sales, providing Afternoon Teas for visitors to Chastleton House, social events such as a Quiz Night and Fish & Chip Supper along with many others to come this year.

Fund Raising at Longborough Table Sale

At the same time we are looking to increase local support and sponsorship from businesses, groups or individuals who would like to contribute in any way they can.

We also need volunteers to join an enthusiastic group for various tasks, could you spare some of your time to help the club?

Please contact us if you can help in any way.
